The first building contains 90,000 SF of clinical, instructional and office space in four floors above an underground garage. This unique building will house multiple programs under one roof designed to treat the whole range of issues affecting the children and their families. Designed to encourage interdepartmental cooperation, the building will contain spaces for the following groups: an early intervention school with four classrooms; a severe behavior school with five classrooms; feeding and swallowing clinic; severe behavior clinic; speech clinic; OT/PT; resource library; medical practice plan, includ- ing a neurology clinic with sleep lab; social work; psychology clinic and testing; academic medicine, research, distance learning.

The building is designed for maximum flexibility to accommodate changing program and research demands. Information technology and audio visual technology is fully integrated in the building for sophisticated capabilities including digital recording of therapy sessions and full interface with the Marcus Institute's sister institution in Baltimore.
